As a Recreation Attendant, you bring the energy, warmth, and aloha spirit to life by delivering fun, engaging, and authentically local personalized service to every guest enjoying our Beach and Pool facilities. You set the tone for unforgettable days in the sun—creating moments that feel effortless, joyful, and truly special.

What you will be doing:

• Greet and engage guests with enthusiasm, positivity, and genuine hospitality while assisting with all guest needs, including but not limited to:
  • Issuing towels and chaise lounge covers
  • Assisting with chair lounge and Hale & Daybed set-up
  • Distributing snorkel gear, surfboards, boogie boards, flotation devices, and kayaks
  • Providing fun, friendly, and safety-focused instruction on the proper use of recreational equipment
• Keep the beach and pool areas vibrant, clean, and inviting by collecting used towels and removing debris throughout the day.
• Create memorable and feel-good guest experiences through warm, personalized, and energetic service in a luxury, fast-paced resort environment.
• Deliver a positive and lasting first impression by maintaining exceptional cleanliness, thoughtful set-up, and perfect ambiance at all times.
• Be knowledgeable and excited to share information about wellness offerings, recreation activities, and hotel features—enhancing each guest’s stay.
• Confidently upsell and promote wellness and recreation experiences in a natural, guest-focused way to maximize revenue while elevating enjoyment.
• Perform opening and closing side duties and set the beach and pool areas to brand standards with pride and attention to detail.
• Stay confident and calm by being well-versed in hotel fire, life safety, and emergency procedures.
• Represent the resort with professionalism by maintaining a polished appearance, positive attitude, and high personal hygiene standards.
• Jump in to assist with other reasonable duties as assigned by Hotel Management—always with a can-do attitude and a smile.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• A passion for sharing Hawaiian culture, stories, and island lifestyle with guests in a fun, engaging, and respectful way.
• Strong guest-service skills with the ability to anticipate needs while remaining calm, courteous, and positive at all times.
• Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Ability to speak additional languages is an asset; basic understanding of local language and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi is a plus.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cohesively as part of a high-energy, supportive team.
• Highly detail-oriented, service-driven, self-motivated, and energetic with a natural sense of pride in your work.
• Ability to provide required State and Federal documentation to work in Recreation, including Tuberculosis clearance.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
• Additional recreation-related certifications are an advantage, including Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Additional Information

Hourly Rate: $24.81 USD

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
