    Job Summary

    We are seeking a friendly, patient, and encouraging Skateboard and Roller Skate Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will teach children skateboard and/or roller skate safety, fundamentals, and skill progression using THE SKATESIDE’s approved curriculum.

    The ideal candidate enjoys working with kids, brings positive energy, and is passionate about skating and youth development. We partner with school districts and cities, so professionalism and reliability are essential.

    Responsibilities

    Provide skateboard and/or roller skate instruction based on approved curriculum

    Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment

    Enforce all safety guidelines and rules at all times

    Visually inspect skating areas for safety hazards or maintenance concerns

    Set up, maintain, and properly store skating equipment

    Assist with class organization, transitions, and student engagement

    Report accidents or incidents to management and complete required documentation

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED preferred

    Cleared background check

    Mandated Reporter Training CA - General Training (MUST HAVE)

    TB Test - NEG (MUST HAVE)

    Experience working with children (youth sports, camps, after-school programs, childcare, or instruction preferred)

    Skateboarding and/or roller skating experience or knowledge

    First Aid / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Positive attitude and friendly demeanor

    Willingness to receive training and follow curriculum

    Reliable transportation to assigned locations
