    Fusion Dance Centre

    Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking experienced, passionate Dance Instructors for Fusion Dance Centre in Roselle Park, NJ. We are looking for teachers who that create and value a positive, uplifting classroom environment.

    Our dance classes focus on technical development, musicality, and teamwork while nurturing creativity and self-confidence.

    This position is ideal for teachers with both recreational and competitive dance training who want to plant roots in a studio long-term and invest in overall personal, student, and program growth.

    Opportunities for professional development, administrative work, and career advancement are offered within our large studio. Part-time and Full-time positions are available. *Accessible from NYC by bus or train.

    Position Overview

    The Recreational and Competitive Dance Teacher leads engaging, age-appropriate classes that foster the technical, emotional, and mental development of dancers.

    Our Dance Company program prioritizes physical and psychological safety, while encouraging self-expression and developing passion both on and off-stage.

    Responsibilities

    • Teach engaging, structured classes, planning progressive lessons that follow program curriculum

    • Choreograph routines and prepare students for recitals and/or competitions and performances. Attend Dress Rehearsals and performances

    • Communicate positively with parents and studio staff. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

    • Arrive prepared and on time for all classes

    • Create a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere where dancers feel safe and confident

    • Is ready to invest in the growth of the program long-term and be part of our dancers' journey and a valued member of our studio family

    Schedule

    • Evening and weekend classes, availability for multiple days is a plus. Dress rehearsals, competitions, and performances per the yearly calendar.

    • Opportunities for additional events, parties, and choreography available.

    Preferred Experience

    • Prior dance training in a studio setting. Teaching certification or BA/BFA is a plus.

    • Minimum two years of experience teaching dance. Ability to teach multiple styles is a plus. Curriculum training and development will be provided.

    • Competitive program applicants must provide videos of choreography from studio rehearsals, competitions, or performances, not college-level or professional work.
