Cornerstone Composites, Inc., is a contract molding company that makes components for a wide variety of manufacturers including transportation, industrial applications, appliance/kitchen, and water management. Nearly 50% of the components produced are used in electrical power applications.  Today, the company continues to provide outstanding customer service and high quality thermoset products to numerous industries.

Cornerstone Composites, Inc. located on the north side of Milwaukee, has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician.  The primary function of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain all plant equipment in a safe and efficient working order to minimize down time.  Perform building maintenance as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Insure preventive maintenance is done on schedule.
• Inspect and repair hydraulic molding presses.
• Inspect and maintain steam generator.
• Inspect and maintain water tower system.
• Inspect and maintain air compressors
• Inspect and maintain pre-formers.
• Complete items monthly on safety checklist.
• Maintain stock and neatness of maintenance areas.
• Inspect and maintain forklifts.
• Record all repairs on machinery.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read/understand hydraulic and electrical drawings
• Be mechanically inclined.
• Experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical problems.
• Have own tools.
• Experience in troubleshooting molding machines.
• Ability to complete required work with minimal supervision.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred
• High School diploma or GED
• Experience with Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Welding and HAVC

Physical Qualifications

Work requires physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity.  While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to have the mobility to move and rotate from work station to work station.
• Must frequently lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 30 to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
