Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, community-driven Recruiter / On-Site Supervisor to join our staffing team in Columbus, OH. This role is critical in connecting high-quality talent with employers in the light industrial and warehousing sectors.
The ideal candidate brings local market knowledge, strong community connections, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about workforce development and making a meaningful impact in their community.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire roles
- Match qualified candidates to warehouse, logistics, and light industrial positions
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline to support high-volume staffing needs
Community Outreach
- Actively engage with local organizations, community centers, and job fairs
- Represent Abacus at community events and workforce development programs
- Build trust and lasting relationships with job seekers, particularly within bilingual or underserved communities
Client & On-Site Support
- Partner with account and market managers to understand client needs and staffing requirements
- Support on-site operations as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day workforce management
- Ensure candidates are properly onboarded and job-ready
- Provide post-placement support to promote retention and satisfaction
Administrative & Compliance
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Assist with onboarding documentation, compliance requirements, and background checks
- Track recruiting activity and report on key performance metrics
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of recruiting experience, preferably in a staffing agency environment
- Experience recruiting for light industrial, warehouse, or logistics roles
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Columbus-area labor market and communities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with ATS platforms and candidate tracking tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with underserved or immigrant communities
- Familiarity with I-9, E-Verify, and workplace safety practices
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
