Soccer Shots East County San Diego, LLC, is a team of passionate individuals who are world changers bringing social-emotional skill development to children aged 18 months to 10 years old through the game of soccer. The high-quality and high-energy soccer classes run weekly throughout East and South San Diego. We proudly serve and partner with Preschools, Elementary Schools, and Public Parks, serving thousands of families every week.

Key Role: The Recruiting Assistant is a hybrid role combining recruiting responsibilities with on-field coaching. This position supports the recruiting team in sourcing, communication, and hiring efforts, while also coaching 5–12 soccer sessions per week. Success in this role requires strong organization, communication, and the ability to be both detail-oriented in recruiting tasks and energetic and engaging when working with children.
This role is ideal for someone interested in recruiting, HR, or operations who also enjoys working with children in an active, hands-on environment. You’ll support hiring efforts by managing candidate communication, scheduling, and sourcing—while also leading soccer sessions and stepping in as a coach when needed.
Recruiting & Administrative Responsibilities:
Send applicant questionnaires and manage candidate responses
Coordinate candidate communication and schedule interviews
Assist with job postings across platforms (Indeed, CareerPlug, Breezy)
Help screen resumes and support interview processes
Track and update candidate notes and pipeline activity
Assist with drafting job postings, offer letters, and hiring materials
Attend recruiting events (job fairs, college/high school outreach)
Support general recruiting operations and hiring initiatives
Coaching Responsibilities:
Coach 5–12 soccer sessions per week
Substitute for coaches as needed
Lead structured, engaging sessions for children (ages 18 months–10 years)
Maintain a safe, positive, and high-energy environment during sessions
Requirements:
1 year of recruiting experience
Experience with recruiting platforms (Indeed, CareerPlug, Breezy)
Willingness and availability to coach 5–12 sessions per week
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Ability to stay active and engage with children during sessions
Reliable transportation (travel across San Diego County required)
Ability to lift 40 lbs
Minimum 1-year commitment
Certifications (required):
TB test (per guidelines)
Pediatric CPR certification (within 2 months of hire)
Mandated Reporter Training (renewed every 2 years)
Pay & Benefits:
$18–$22/hr DOE (part-time, 15–25 hours/week)
