    Position Summary:

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified team member to serve as our Human Resources Generalist with our Shared Services Group located in Mesa, Arizona. Reporting to the Human Resources Director this position will be exposed to a broad-base of HR expertise while focusing upon Recruitment, Job Descriptions Management and Systems Support.

    We are a small, effective team seeking a new member who brings a positive attitude and willingness to jump in and get things done as we strive daily to positively impact our organization and its team members.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    - Assists with recruitment across site and organization - screening resumes, coordinating and scheduling in-person/phone interviews for managers and job candidates, processing background checks, as requested

    - Provides support to employees on the HRIS & Cornerstone Training Systems

    - Update and manage Job Descriptions across the NDS organization

    - Supports organizational development initiatives; conduct technical interviews to assess employee skills for implementation of training and development plans

    - Provide leadership and guidance to employees and work closely with site HRD to ensure consistency with the execution of HR policies, programs, and procedures.

    - Provide guidance support, and counsel management team on employee relations issues. Work with HRD on complex issues. Ensure compliance with Federal and State Employment laws.

    - Respond to inquiries by employees regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

    - Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulation and recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

    - Provide guidance to employees on benefit programs; assist with open enrollment activities.

    - Working knowledge of workers compensation and OSHA – provide guidance and support to NDS sites.

    - Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.

    Job Qualifications:

    - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human resources, business or other related field.

    - 3+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

    - Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

    - Proven relationship and trust builder

    - Proven track record of dealing with employee issues in a professional and non-threatening manner, all while building trust and a rapport with the team.

    - Effective communication skills both verbal and non-verbal are extremely important and will be a chief factor in choosing our best candidate for this role.
