    Global multi-billion dollar consumer goods company is in need of a sharp Manager of Operations Accounting. They are a industry leader and have a winning culture where achievements are recognized and celebrated.  You'll play an integral role in bridging the manufacturing accounting activities into the overall financial results. This position oversees the monthly financial closing and reporting of plant operations, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Management: Supervise corporate operations accounting team. Develop and train staff. Foster a team atmosphere, creating an atmosphere of collaboration.
    • Operations Support: Support Operations teams as a valued accounting resource. Provide training in accounting and inventory costing to manufacturing teams. Update and maintain policies and procedures associated with various accounting teams.
    • Operations Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual account analysis. Review financial statements, analyze overhead and variances associated with plant operations.
    • Operations Accounting: Take ownership of the unique processes that comprise operations accounting. This team performs calculations, accounting and analysis of overhead, manufacturing and inventory variances, purchase price variances, and review of plant-prepared accounting deliverables.
    • Liaison Role: Be an agent of collaboration between various company operational teams, external and internal auditors, general accounting and financial reporting.
    • Best Practices: Analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for implementing best practices. Ensure compliance with internal and SOX controls. 

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s or CPA preferred
    • 7+ years of accounting experience
    • 3+ years of supervisory experience
    • 3+ years of cost accounting experience
    • Experience in manufacturing or consumer products industry
    • Experience with physical inventories
    • Strong ERP system experience
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel
