    Global investment management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Associate-Investment Accounting to join the Fund Accounting team in Los Angeles.

     

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in managing relationships and liaising with internal resources, offshore resources, fund administrators and auditors to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines
    • High level of interaction across the organization, including communications with tax, operations, investor relations, financial reporting and portfolio management
    • Work closely with operations and other groups in managing daily cash and position breaks
    • Review reporting to investors and internal constituents (portfolio managers, investor relations)
    • Oversee and review daily NAV packages from the fund administrator
    • Review of NQ, NCSRS and NCSR reporting for the funds
    • Review of monthly NPORT reporting
    • Provide management company with data for quarterly SEC filings
    • Provide compliance reporting (Form PF, ADV, etc.)
    • Participate in firm initiatives and team specific projects for process improvements
    • Track and co-ordinate expense payments for the funds, including management fees and shareholder service fees
    • Preparation of quarterly materials for board of directors 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s in Accounting considered a plus. CPA preferred.
    • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in public accounting, Big 4 preferred
    • Experience with bank debt
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment
    • Ability to assist in managing multiple third-party relationships
    • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
    • Strong verbal and written skills; ability to analyze and summarize complex information both verbally and in writing
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to multi-task and manage various deadlines
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Advent Geneva experience a plus
    • Strong Excel skills (e.g. complex formulas, macros)
    • Power BI, Tableau or other business intelligence tools a plus
