    Growing Fortune 500 healthcare company in Los Angeles is looking for a sharp Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. (100% remote-Southern CA applicants only please) The company continues to acquire other health systems and is expanding their team. This position will be responsible for the medium to complex accounting activities associated with maintaining key general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, performing financial analysis and preparing management reports. May provide functional advice or training to peers. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Understand complex business unit roll-ups, consolidations and eliminations.
    • Prepare financial reports and analysis used during month-end close.
    • Prepare internal monthly reporting packages for assigned business units, including Balance Sheet, Trended Income Statement, Revenue Analysis, G&A Analysis, and Key Performance Indicators, etc.
    • Perform quarterly external reporting packages including fluctuation analysis submitted to Corporate and the external auditor.
    • Prepare financial statements, footnotes and support schedules for the quarterly and annual filings.
    • Maintain reports design and proactively identify and make changes as needed.
    • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretations.
    • Serve as the audit liaison for assigned business units and prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits.
    • Prepare account reconciliations on Blackline; review and approve reconciliations prepared by Senior Staff Accountants.
    • Perform work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues.
    • Act as a resource to others.
    • Ad hoc projects and other responsibilities as assigned. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
    • MBA and/or CPA a plus
    • 3+ of progressive accounting/reporting experience
    • 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred
    • Strong Microsoft applications skills (Excel, Word, Access).
    • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
    • In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, management and financial policies, and tax regulations.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
    • Solid understanding of intercompany transactions.
    • Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare clear and concise financial analysis
    • Must have ability to convey complex financial issues to nonfinancial users.
    • Ability to work with changing priorities in a fast paced/high volume environment.
    • Ability to develop and improve processes and provide alternative recommendations to issues within areas of responsibility
    • Acutely detailed-oriented.
