    Publicly traded global investment management firm is looking for a stellar, highly-motivated Senior Associate to join our Fund Accounting team in Los Angeles. The Senior Associate will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of publicly traded regulated investment companies, including the business development company, with a primary focus on investment related activities and accurately reporting the daily net asset value per share for certain funds.

    > 100% remote currently

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Assist in preparation of US GAAP financial statements for monthly reporting and quarterly and annual SEC filings
    • Preparation of quarterly footnote and MD&A disclosures and other analyses, as needed
    • Assist in managing relationships and liaising with internal resources, offshore resources, fund administrators and auditors to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines
    • High level of interaction across the organization, including communications with tax, operations, investor relations, financial reporting and portfolio management
    • Work closely with operations and other groups in managing daily cash and position breaks
    • Review reporting to investors and internal constituents (portfolio managers, investor relations)
    • Oversee and review daily and monthly NAV packages from the fund administrator
    • Review of NQ, NCSRS and NCSR reporting for the funds
    • Review of monthly NPORT reporting
    • Provide compliance reporting (Form PF, ADV, etc.)
    • Track and coordinate expense payments for the funds
    • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and fluctuation analyses
    • Preparation of quarterly board reporting
    • Participate in firm initiatives and team specific projects for process improvements 

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
    • CPA preferred
    • 4-6+ years of progressive experience in accounting & public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
    • Experience with bank debt
    • Experience with BDCs or alternative asset managers a plus
    • Advent Geneva experience a plus
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience a plus
    • Strong Excel skills (e.g. complex formulas, macros)
    • Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau or other business intelligence tools a plus
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment
    • Ability to assist in managing multiple third-party relationships
    • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
    • Strong verbal and written skills; ability to analyze and summarize complex information both verbally and in writing
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to multi-task and manage various deadlines
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
