Leading global investment management firm experiencing impressive growth is looking for an Associate Director, Reporting at their Los Angeles offices.
This position will assist in the preparation of fund reporting to internal and external audiences, which may include portfolio managers, Investment Committees, clients, and insurance regulators. The candidate should have qualities to understand the reporting data processing, both manual and inside internal applications (Accounting Systems, Front End Platform, and Reporting Tools). The candidate will be working with portfolio managers, members of the investment team, Fund Controllers, Consumer & Product Solutions, and Administrators.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track existing and prospective investment activity across the investment portfolio and support the investment function as needed
- Create standardized reports and processes to report on weekly, monthly & quarterly portfolio monitoring process which include performance, asset allocation and market intelligence
- Generate customized client / investor reporting for both internal and external distribution
- Review and ensure that the materials meet the goals of specific client requirements
- Assist team members in creating reports and commentary to respond to specific client/investor requests, solving trade- related questions, responding to audit requests and ad-hoc client needs.
- Assist the team with bespoke RFP requests and additional ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information technology, or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a Financial Services or Asset Management industry
- Strong analytical experience and experience interacting with external investors/clients
- Good understanding of fixed income products and relevant analytics
- Proficient in data management/manipulation, reporting, presentations, database management (advanced excel & VBA, Power point)
- Demonstrated capability to apply capital markets concepts, analysis and support to strategic decision-making processes
- Experience in preparing and presenting materials to an executive level audience and tailoring narrative to the objectives of various stakeholders
