High growth biotech/medical company is in need of a sharp Accounting Manager to join the team at their San Dimas, CA location! This role has plenty of growth opportunity, accelerated learning and provides experience in a dynamic environment. You will oversee all aspects of the accounting department, which may include General Ledger, AP, AR, Inventory and Payroll. You will need to have a solid knowledge of accounting processes and principles and you must be a highly organized professional able to motivate a team and improve processes. The goal is to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Seek areas to improve efficiency by improving workflow, setting up automation or better use of accounting system
• Ensure accurate preparation of consolidating financial statements
• Establish and maintain internal controls
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger
• Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Serve as a liaison to external auditors
• Oversee various accounting areas which may include accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and general accounting
• Implement and/or improve Policies and procedures in all areas
• Supervise, train and hire staff
• Proven track record with improving accounting systems and workflow to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Special Project as required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory experience
• Prior system implementation experience
• Solid knowledge in GAAP
• Prior experience with NetSuite ERP System is a plus
• Manufacturing and inventory or diagnostic lab experience a plus
• Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties
• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
