    Leading & Growing E-Commerce Fashion Group searching for a sharp Director of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

    Director of Technical Accounting

    • Research and assist in evaluating complex accounting transactions including documentation of technical memos to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
    • Relevant experience in accounting for debt/equity instruments with embedded derivatives; joint venture analyses; goodwill analyses; change of control analyses
    • Point of contact with outside auditors on technical accounting matters
    • Monitor FASB and SEC developments to identify and document the potential impact of new pronouncements or other authoritative guidance to the Company's operations
    • Manage the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements, as needed
    • Complete special projects and prepare analyses for senior management requiring technical accounting research and analysis of financial information as requested
    • Responsible for annual goodwill testing
    • Responsible for reporting units analysis
    • Serve as a key point of contact to other functional areas on technical accounting matters
    • Prepare and present training to employees on certain complex technical accounting areas
    • Manage preparation of financial statements for various related entities
    • Work with auditor to answer all necessary questions in connection with their audits
    • Support with any due diligence process and subsequent accounting
    • Manage stock-based compensation arrangements and related accounting
    • Manage capitalization tables of the Company’s various related entities

    Required Education & Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
    • CPA required
    • 10+ years of work experience, preferably with the majority of experience in Big 4 public accounting working on public companies or accounting advisory work

    Required Skills, Knowledge & Competencies:

    • In-depth knowledge of technical accounting (U.S. GAAP), financial reporting, and technical accounting memo writing
    • Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively work with executive leadership and cross-functional teams throughout the company
    • Able to break down problems into meaningful parts and come to rational and well-thought out conclusions
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
    • Internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills
