    We are seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor preferably with Construction and Business Operations experience.

    The Internal Audit department conducts risk-based, financial, operational, construction, IT and compliance audits and special projects. The position provides insight and excellent opportunities to learn about Development, Design and Construction for a variety of capital works projects. It will also enable you to extend your knowledge of business operations in segments ranging from Shopping Centers, Operations and Asset Management, Health and Safety, Leasing, Marketing, Digital initiatives and more. Deliver value-added audits by using state of the art data analytic strategies and tools, electronic work papers, dashboards and workflows. We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor, Construction and Business Operations for our Internal Audit Department. Specific Job Responsibilities Include

    • Conduct construction project internal audits for large to medium size capital projects, including Shopping Center Development and Improvements, Airports, Residential, Office and mixed-use spaces.
    • Review, analyze and recommend improvements to Development, Design and Construction processes.
    • Identify internal control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement over construction management policies and procedures, processes, internal controls, roles and responsibilities, reporting, and supporting information technology (including Proliance IT System).
    • Evaluate compliance with Joint Venture Partner Agreements as it relates to reporting of project status, documentation for drawdowns, change order reporting, etc.
    • Review project life-cycle from project management, entitlements, design drawing, feasibility studies and budgeting/forecasting, construction bidding, approvals, change orders, scheduling and delays, productivity and hand over of construction to Center Management.
    • Perform third-party contractor audits, including verification of correct billing/cost recovery.
    • Learn other areas of business operations and conduct audits in areas such as Center/Asset Management, Leasing, Marketing, Media and Events, Customer Loyalty Programs, etc.
    • Collaborate with management on special projects and company-wide initiatives
    • Work with engagement teams to perform field work, including data collection, analysis, and work paper documentation; prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations.
    • Prepare clear, concise audit reports and presentations

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of three years of experience in construction management and/or construction advisory services with increasing roles and responsibilities
    • Knowledge in various phases of construction including planning and work breakdown structures, pre-construction services, sourcing and procurement of contracts, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, quality management, project reporting, and project closeout
    • Field construction experience on different project types
    • Experience using various project management tools like Proliance, Primavera Enterprise, Prolog, Maximo, and other toolsets
    • Extensive knowledge/experience in project management, strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, records retention and work paper organizational skills
    • Willingness to travel approximately 30% (primarily domestic).

    Education:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college/university
    • P.E, PMI, CCM, AIA, or other professional certification preferred
