    Thriving global consumer apparel company is seeking a sharp Senior Revenue Accountant at their corporate headquarters in Los Angeles. The Senior Accountant will be working closely with key members of the department on significant areas of the financial statements – both foreign and domestic. Core responsibilities include month-end general ledger close procedures, trend/behavioral analysis and the preparation of financial statements and their supporting schedules. Reports to: VP, Accounting

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliation schedules by reviewing the general ledger activity and obtaining a full understanding of the account activity to support month-end reported balances
    • Focus on Accounts Receivable & Revenue accounts and the maintenance of their related schedules such as the AR Aging and AR Reconciliations
    • Analysis of historical refund/return trends and maintenance of related reserve calculations
    • Analyze certain revenue and expenses (e.g. wholesale revenue, product revenue, referral revenue, cost of sales, etc.) by reviewing monthly transactions and investigate variances
    • Invoice various customers for sales as they occur throughout the month, track those invoices and follow-up on payment status as necessary for reconciliation purposes at month-end
    • Assist with financial and tax audits as necessary, such as by gathering and reviewing support before providing it to the auditors
    • Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
    • Ad hoc reporting and other projects as assigned

    Required Skills:

    • 3-5 years accounting/finance experience
    • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel
    • Strong understanding of accounting theory (e.g. GAAP)
