    Leading global company is looking for a sharp Corporate Accounting Manager or Controller with a proven track record of being a strong business partner to executive management. The Controller will be a critical member of the Finance team but will actively engage with our global leadership and operations teams to help drive growth initiatives and implement processes that can help the business rapidly scale. The position will be responsible for the identification of process improvements and coordinating organization procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.

    This is a high visibility role in a dynamic, growth-oriented, private equity backed organization offering significant opportunities for career development. Daily interactions with senior management and ownership are highly coveted characteristics of this new role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Extensive experience leading the accounting function with the ability to support step-change growth of a global, entrepreneurial organization
    • Ability to quickly learn a new environment and system, establish trust and build relationships, and thrive in an established culture is critical to achieving success
    • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and year-end processes, A/R & A/P, and the treasury function.
    • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
    • Review and analyze the organization's accounting operation; establish, develop, and/or recommend economic objectives and policies to management
    • Coordinate implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures
    • Analyze, review, and audit overall general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable systems
    • Coordinate year-end audits
    • Work closely and seamlessly with Chief Financial Officer and private equity firm.

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or in a relevant technical subject
    • Certified Accountant (ACA, CMA, CPA) is a plus
    • 7+ years of accounting experience for Global business with expertise in a Regional/Large Business Unit Finance and Control preferred. Experience with Mexico is a plus.
    • Experience in logistics industry preferred
    • Experience in private equity backed company or similar environment preferred
    • Experience working with lenders / credit agreements a plus.
    • Able to lead and manage change, able to handle ambiguity and resilient to setbacks, able support others, helping them to understand the need for change and enhanced analytics in line with business strategy
    • Excellent Excel/Word skills, ability to work independently; thrive in fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities
    • Ability to work with all levels of management with commitment to the highest level of ethical standards
    • Deep understanding of ERP accounting systems; experience with Sage a plus
