Construction Sales Representative
Fast growing, award winning, high end, design and build remodeler is in need of an experienced Construction Sales Representative. Our company is a recognized leader in the area with a reputation built on quality, reliability, and trust. Ideally, we are looking for someone with at least three (3) years of sales experience in the residential construction industry, but are open to people outside of the industry with proven sales experience. Great Base Pay and Commissions
Responsibilities:
● Ideally a minimum of Three (3) years of proven experience in selling high end, design and build residential remodeling and construction throughout the Chicago Northwest Suburbs area
● Actively qualifying leads by asking the right questions and being able to determine, in the initial conversation, whether someone is a good fit for our company based on historically successful project profiles and experience.
● Explore customer’s issues in depth and clarify their viewpoint
● Confidently present process, proposal, pricing, scope of work, contract in an educated, presentable demeanor; dress appropriately
● Know when to close and how to ask for business. Naturally steer a sales process toward a decision
● Willingness and ability to generate additional leads via referrals, past client outreach
● Attend networking events
● Develop a sales plan and the ability to sell construction projects
● Willingness to learn and personally implement existing sales process, pricing, and proposal models
Qualifications:
● Strong computer skills- Microsoft Office Suites, CRM experience is a plus
● Must have reliable transportation
● Contacts in the residential remodeling construction industry is preferred
● Design experience is a huge plus
● Effectively attend networking events to broaden your circle of contacts
● Develop and use contacts that bring referrals
● Broaden the circle of influence with other professionals
● Well spoken, polished and professional demeanor and presentation skills
● Results driven, self-starting team player
● Strong organizational skills
● Listening skills – listen to understand and to determine if the prospect is emotionally ready to move forward with their project
● Follow up with clients during and after completion of projects with the goal of returning clients for all future building and remodeling needs
● Ability to work with clients’ schedules
● Formal Sandler Sales training is a plus
● Stay current on industry trends and development
