The Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of field employees for Pyramid Pool Monitoring Service. This role ensures the smooth execution of hiring, employee engagement, and compliance while fostering a positive work environment. The Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist collaborates closely with management to implement strategic HR initiatives and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting
Establish and manage recruiting strategies to build a strong talent pipeline.
Provide support to the operations manager with human resources tasks.
Create and post job advertisements on job websites and social media platforms.
Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
Conduct pre-screening interviews.
Schedule and organize interviews with potential candidates.
Prepare screening tests, interview questions, and other assessment materials.
Explain work requirements and job duties to candidates.
Maintain positive relationships with employees and candidates.
Participate in recruitment events to expand outreach efforts.
Assist with maintenance of internal company databases.
Onboarding
Schedule and conduct pool monitor training sessions.
Process required employment paperwork efficiently and accurately.
Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data.
Draft offer, termination, and rejection letters.
Assist in preparing and sending new employee information emails.
Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Assist in preparing and sending offer emails.
Perform other special projects as assigned.
Retention
Develop and conduct supplemental employee training programs.
Routinely evaluate new hire performance and provide feedback.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
Maintain awareness of employee talent and expertise to leverage skills, training, and mentorship across locations.
Partner with the Managing Director and other administrative staff to make strategic decisions and provide ongoing feedback for continuous improvement.
Problem-solve and develop solution-based action plans, including agile responses to challenges.
Monitor employee performance and engagement to identify areas for improvement.
Identify opportunities and solve complex problems proactively.
Manage changes in the field, shifting quickly as business needs evolve.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
1-2 years of professional work experience, recruiting experience preferred.
Associate's degree or some college preferred.
Strong proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and HR software.
Desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and operational methods.
General knowledge of federal and state employment laws and practices.
Familiarity with employment paperwork, including tax forms and employee handbooks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skills in database management and record-keeping.
Willingness to travel locally for recruitment meetings and employee training sessions.
Readiness to respond promptly to email and text communications.
Understanding of payroll procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
