    Job Description

    Red Ace Capital Management (“Red Ace”) is a private equity firm focused on generating above market risk-adjusted returns for its investors primarily through direct investments in real estate and residential/commercial solar projects in targeted markets in the United States.

    The Asset Management & Accounting Associate will primarily support the Red Ace executive team in three main areas: 1) managing the growing portfolio of solar assets that Red Ace and its affiliates own and overseeing the monthly acquisition process/record keeping for all new systems, 2) supporting the accounting/finance team with the day to day accounting and record keeping activities for the Red Ace portfolio, and 3) working with the executive team on various ad-hoc corporate initiatives. You will become an integral part of a team and have the opportunity to assume significant responsibility that may include:

    • Work with Red Ace solar renewable energy certificate (“SRECs”) portfolio administrators to manage SREC production and the sale of SRECs
    • Work with solar installation companies to oversee the documentation, funding, and development of commercial and residential solar projects
    • Work with outside tax & valuation counsel as necessary for financial reporting and tax filing
    • Oversee project documentation and ensure that deal files are complete and organized
    • Assist in the oversight of business plans, budgets, forecasts, analysis and reporting
    • Conduct financial analysis for potential investment opportunities
    • Lead the collection, review and organization of investment due diligence
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports to track the performance of and help support decision making for each asset
    • Be an active participant in monthly asset management reviews with the management team, which includes the monthly review of financials, and project pipeline.
    • Assist in coordination of post-acquisition activities and integration of asset into the firm’s portfolio
    • Assist in preparing quarterly financial reporting to investors
    • Assist in special projects related to the portfolio
    • Provide financial records to Company’s outside accountants and tax consultants in connection with tax return preparation.
    • Assist in analyzing and preparing budgets.
    • Monitor expenses and compliance with budgets.
    • Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by management.
    • Prepare financial models using Excel and other industry-standard applications, particularly tax models and after-tax analysis
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to multitask
    • Highly organized
    • Working knowledge of federal tax law (preferably with a background in real estate and/or solar investments)
    • Prior experience with internal accounting and/or record-keeping

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Ability to prioritize workload and manage projects effectively and accurately.
    • Must maintain a quality work product and meeting required timelines
    • Some travel may be required to visit assets for inspections, property manager meetings, and market tours.
    • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle aggressive deadlines and work on multiple projects/tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to take ownership of and accountability for projects/tasks and work both individually and as a part of a team.
    • Ability to delegate, manage, and coordinate projects and tasks.
    • Ability to identify and recommend modifications to existing policies/procedures to improve performance/efficiencies.
    • Independent thinker who will be proactive, assertive, and professional in dealing with internal/external clients, lenders, and third parties.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline preferred.
