    Job Description

    The Red Gate Group is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Uncrewed Systems Specialist to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Technical Support Group (TSG) and become a crucial member of a global team countering chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats.

    As an Uncrewed Systems Specialist (USS), you will provide expertise in the employment of uncrewed systems to enable tactical units of action. Your role involves training military and civilian personnel, operating uncrewed systems and associated equipment, and advising leadership on their application in CBRN search missions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on TSG Tactical Techniques, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Points of Instruction (POIs).
    • Become certified to operate uncrewed systems in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations on all uncrewed systems and associated sensors employed by the TSGs and designated theater response forces in the conduct of the CBRN search mission.
    • Train personnel on setup and operation of uncrewed systems, communication gear, and CBRN search equipment.
    • Maintain proficiency on all mission-essential equipment and support real-world WMD search operations.
    • Operate uncrewed systems, sensors, and communication equipment during missions.
    • Assist in updating and maintaining TTPs, SOPs, and POIs as required.
    • Travel on short notice and work non-standard hours to support mission requirements.

    Required Skills/Qualifications

    • Active TS/SCI

    • Prior experience that resulted in a fundamental familiarity and understanding of the employment of small uncrewed systems (150lbs or less) including, but not limited to, uncrewed aerial systems, uncrewed ground systems, or uncrewed surface/sub-surface systems.

    • Contractor operator shall have recent military operational experience in support of a U.S. Combatant Command.

    • Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Leader Course graduate or military service equivalent graduate, or prior commissioned military officer.

    • Prior experience as a member of U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) units.

    • Possess a current U.S. passport with an updated international vaccination record and a valid U.S. driver’s license.

    • Possess effective oral and written communication skills.

    • Willing and able to accept worldwide deployments which include elements presenting risks to personal safety.

    • Proficient in computer utilization, graphics creation, editing, and word processing.

    • Able to travel on short notice, work non-standard hours, and take on-call duty.

    • Able to complete Department Nimble Elder Initial Training Program within 3 months of hire. The training includes tasks associated with WMD search operations, communications, mobility, surveillance, and force protection.

    • Obtain immunizations for worldwide travel and unique TSG mission requirements.

    • Able to perform duties in all weather and climate conditions and be capable of carrying loads of up to 80 pounds over uneven terrain.

    • Willing and physically capable of performing various infiltration and exfiltration techniques (FRIES, SPIES, Ladders, etc.) as well as other urban and rural movement techniques in specialized equipment (climbing, rappelling, SCBA, etc.).

    • Capable of flying in utility helicopters for extended periods of time and available for expeditious foreign travel for extended periods of time.

    • Physically and mentally qualified for deployment and performance of duties, to include tactical operations in austere, hostile environments. Annually, personnel must complete an Army Combat Fitness Test and score a minimum of 60% for everyone’s specific age group, or capable of demonstrating the following physical requirements:

      •   *         * Deadlift 140 lbs.
        
        • Two mile run within 22 minutes.
        • 42 pushups within two minutes.
        • Perform standard plank for one minute.
        • Pass a Combat Water Survival Test (CWST)
    • Ability to meet medical requirements to wear a protective mask in accordance with 29CFR1910.134

    • Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of assigned small arms (pistol / rifle) weapons for purposes of force protection and shall be able to qualify with the M17 pistol and M4 rifle in accordance with TC 3-23.35 and TC 3-22.9. Further, all contractor personnel shall comply with requirements IAW the Lautenberg Amendment

    • Able to complete and maintain the Government-provided Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) training, to include use and wear of assigned NBC protective equipment.

    • Able to complete and maintain deployment qualifications as referenced in DoD Instruction 3020.41, Field Manual (FM) 7-22, and DTRA Deployment Readiness Guide for Contractors.

    Desired Skills/Qualifications

    • Experience with Theater Response Forces or Special Mission Units

    • Experience should include extensive training or operations with U.S. Army Special Forces, Naval Special Warfare Command forces, Marine Special Operations Command forces, or being a member of an organization in direct support of SOF.

    • Prior certification or qualification operating DoD uncrewed systems.

    • Prior experience that resulted in a fundamental familiarity and understanding of the employment of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) sensors or Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) sensors.

    • Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Leader course or above, or military service equivalent graduate, or prior commissioned military officer.
