Job Title: Red Hat Certified Linux Engineer with DevOps Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite) Job Type: Full-Time (only on w2, USC and GC ONLY) Experience Required: 7+ years Certifications Required: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and certified DevOps & Linux Engineer with hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments to join our dynamic IT infrastructure and platform engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in system administration, CI/CD, automation, and container orchestration to support the delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and manage RHEL systems (v7/8/9) in enterprise environments

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps

Develop infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Bash/Python scripting

Configure and support container platforms such as Docker, Podman, and OpenShift/Kubernetes

Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring high availability and system reliability

Apply security patches and harden Linux environments per compliance standards (e.g., STIG/CIS benchmarks)

Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to support application deployment workflows

Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup strategy, and server hardening

Document infrastructure and maintain system runbooks, architecture diagrams, and change logs

Required Skills and Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Linux system administration and DevOps practices

Proven expertise with RHEL 7/8/9 in production environments

Strong hands-on knowledge of Red Hat Satellite, YUM/DNF, and systemd services

Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps)

Proficiency in Bash, Shell, or Python scripting

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)

Understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, DNS, and Linux-based troubleshooting

Experience working in agile and DevSecOps environments

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

RHCE certification is strongly preferred

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Experience with GitOps, Argo CD, or Helm

Knowledge of Linux performance tuning and security compliance (STIG, CIS)

Experience with log management and monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
