POSITION OVERVIEW
In this newly created role, the Sales Development Representative, or SDR, will be an integral part of our ongoing business development process. We are seeking an individual who is SELF-STARTING, RESOURCEFUL and has a BURNING DESIRE to be the best at what they do. The success of this individual will be evaluated by completing TWO PRIMARY OBJECTIVES, including:
- Creation and execution of a national marketing campaign with the purpose of setting up discovery calls with key decision-makers of prospect companies
- Continuously work to build out a Standard Operating Process (SOP) for this position based on the successes and challenges of the role, including, but not limited to, creating an organized 2-3 touch plan for calls, emails and electronic drip marketing campaigns.
50% OUTBOUND COLD CALLING LEAD GENERATION:
- Responsible for calling 50-60 prospects/day while utilizing scripts and rebuttals
- Set up 25 discovery calls/month between target Hiring Managers and our Team Leads
25% RESEARCH AND SOURCING:
- Identify organizations with current needs by creating & utilizing pre-set search agents and RSS alerts
- Take ownership of specific types of organizations or geographic regions with the goal of identifying 95% of firms (funnel out once saturation achieved) utilizing LinkedIn & ZoomInfo
- Create project lists with viable hiring managers and/or candidates
- Develop strong proficiencies with online research tools and Boolean search string methodologies
- Continuously update database as needed
- Stay up to date with industry-relevant information
25% INMAILS, EMAILS, AND ADMIN:
- Create, maintain, and add new contacts to email distribution lists, driving the creation of content (with team’s support); follow up on leads generated/clicked links and respond to replies (can be done as the owner)
- Schedule calls; follow up on calls that are missed or canceled
- Send any follow-up materials required after Owner conducts the initial call
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of sales and/or business development experience
- Technologically savvy; well-versed in using a database/CRM, MS Office, Google Docs, Linkedin, Zoominfo, etc.
- Highly organized with superb time management skills
- A self-starter with a positive attitude and “people skills”
- Phone Skills / Willingness to make a high volume of cold-calls
- Must be okay spending your days with a cute office dog
