    JOB OVERVIEW

    Being a Graphic Designer at Red Velvet Events means you would serve as a key team member of our in-house Creative Team and on a variety of client programs that we have had the privilege to partner with. You will be touching any and all sorts of creative collateral for the company’s events, client programs, stage sets, program books for conferences, and sales proposals. You will be an idea-person, a designer, and execute day-to-day creative internal needs.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Position is based in Austin, Texas.

    Technical Skills: definitely must know Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop – other CS programs a plus), MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. Would be an extra plus if he/she knows HTML, CSS, Wordpress.

    Must already have laptop and Adobe Creative Cloud – Illustrator, InDesign, & Photoshop are the only required programs

    MINIMUM 3 years of experience in graphic design / event & conference brand development for a variety of Clients

    Comfortable juggling multiple simultaneous projects in a wide variety of specs (can range from logo design, signage & collateral pieces, web design, social media, etc)

    Excellent strategic marketing plan skills, including brand development, positioning, and pricing

    Interested in working in a start-up type environment / open office environment

    Work closely with our preferred vendors for needs in printing, stage production set pieces, etc.

    Able to make decisions based on critical thinking, problem solving, process knowledge, research, surveys, and trend analysis

    Able to work with little supervision and in a fast-paced environment

    Dress appropriately for client meetings and on-site event management

    Comfortable with e-mail, phone and in-person communication

    Comfortable working on a laptop and typing/creating documents with minimal instructions

    Organized

    Will work from the main office Monday through Friday unless meeting with clients

    Available to work evenings and weekends when necessary

    Must have an upbeat “Can Do” positive attitude

    Maintain RVE business integrity by conducting all matters fairly, honestly and ethically and with the utmost professionalism
