    Our SE Portland client is a regional distributor for leading national manufacturing firms. Established 35 years ago, our client specializes in supplying high quality safety and maintenance products to the transportation industry in the Pacific Northwest. They are experiencing year after year growth and they are seeking a Territory Sales Rep. This territory has been established and it is prime for growing with the right person.

    The primary responsibility of the Territory Sales Rep is sales and sales support.  An integral part of a team, they provide functional, technical and process leadership in developing and managing the company’s sales and customers in a defined geographic area.  The TSR is responsible for achieving sales objectives and for ensuring consistent, profitable growth through planning, customer education and the delivery of excellent customer service.

     

    What our Sales Reps Focus On:

    • Promote, sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
    • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business
    • Making visits to existing and prospective customers
    • Follow up on new leads and referrals
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of sales materials
    • Research sources for acquiring prospective customers
    • Analyze territory and market potential to determine the value of existing and prospective customers
    • Plan, develop and organize personal sales strategies and goals based on company sales goals per month/quarter
    • Supply management with a variety of status reports including activity, closings, follow-up, adherence to goals, customer concerns, product opportunities, feedback and special developments.
    • Participate in trade shows and conventions

    What you need to bring to the table:

    • Enthusiasm, reliability and the ability to multitask in a results-driven sales team environment
    • Ability to consistently meet and exceed established sales goals
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • The ability to be assertive and persuasive while verbally attracting customers and establishing authentic relationships through follow-up communication
    • 4+ years of proven track record of winning in sales experience preferably in industrial supplies
    • BS degree in business administration or similar discipline
    • Knowledge of the sales cycle & funnel theory
    • Familiarity with Microsoft office software suite (word, excel)
    • Weekly overnight travel in Northwest territory
