This position provides an excellent opportunity to join a leadership team with deep and broad expertise in cybersecurity and play a key role in representing Engineering in RedSeal’s strategic planning processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

• Manage a multi-disciplinary, multi-geography team responsible for executing RedSeal’s product and technology vision.
• Lead the technical effort for RedSeal’s new SaaS offering.
• Drive scalability initiatives to horizontally scale product and improve user experience.
• Execute on strategy to build fully documented, scalable REST APIs.
• Drive evolution of RedSeal’s technology stack to a micro-services-based architecture utilizing containerization.
• Ensure RedSeal meets the highest security standards and achieves required industry certifications.
• Develop and direct procedures and teams to ensure continued engineering leadership and product quality.
• Set engineering roadmap, priorities and effectively run day to day operations.
• Collaborate with integrations engineering and product teams to ensure high degree of alignment, ruthless prioritization and timely software releases.
• Contribute heavily to decisions on operational issues surrounding technical investments.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Integrations Engineering, Quality Assurance and Product Management to ensure that all product development efforts are aligned.
• Collaborate with Technical Support to provide timely resolution to customer issues.
• Provide timely information to senior executives.
• Establish credibility throughout the organization by establishing yourself a dedicated leader and change agent.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with 3+ years of direct people management experience.
• Experience with network and/or security engineering.
• Experience with deploying products in a SaaS delivery model using containers and Kubernetes.
• BS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Agile practitioner with understanding of Scrum, TDD, test automation, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Java and associated development environment.
• Highly collaborative team player who can understand and make tradeoff decisions.
• Strong analytical, organization, project management and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
