    The Law Office of John Redmann is looking to add an experienced Pre Litigation Legal Assistant to our growing firm. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of prior experience in the legal field, preferably in Personal Injury/Plaintiff experience. Bookkeeping experience is a plus as this position will require proficiencies in data entry, maintaining accurate records, and managing client financial data during the settlement process. A successful Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant will possess superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and professional work setting. Responsibilities: • Maintain electronic/physical case files • Perform legal and factual research • Perform records research • Organize and analyze information • Cross-check and validate information • Prepare written reports • Draft legal correspondence that is informative in nature, but does not include legal opinion or advice • Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy • Build and maintain databases and files • Organize and track case files • Assist in case planning and development • Arrange transportation for clients, if needed. • Filing as needed (copying, scanning, and faxing) • Pay Invoices/Bills and properly document payments in files • Negotiate discounts with medical providers as instructed by the attorney • Assist clients with property damage claims • Request and obtain police reports • Process checks received via mail and document receipt in the case management system • Process received faxes daily Qualifications: • Proficient with MS Office products • Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills • Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary Compensation: $40,000 yearly
