    The Law Office of John Redmann is looking to add an experienced Pre Litigation Legal Assistant to our growing firm. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of prior experience in the legal field, preferably in Personal Injury/Plaintiff experience. Bookkeeping experience is a plus as this position will require proficiencies in data entry, maintaining accurate records, and managing client financial data during the settlement process. A successful Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant will possess superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and professional work setting. Responsibilities: • Maintain electronic/physical case files • Perform records research • Organize and analyze information • Cross-check and validate information • Prepare written reports • Draft legal correspondence that is informative in nature, but does not include legal opinion or advice • Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy • Build and maintain databases and files • Organize and track case files • Assist in case planning and development • Arrange transportation for clients, if needed • Filing as needed (copying, scanning, and faxing) • Pay Invoices/Bills and properly document payments in files • Negotiate discounts with medical providers as instructed by attorney • Prepare settlement accountings • Process checks received via mail and document receipt in case management system • Process received faxes daily Qualifications: • Knowledgeable with MS Excel, data entry, and accounting software • Can maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial data • High school diploma or equivalent, plus some college is preferred - bachelor’s degree is a plus • Jobseekers should have outstanding attention to detail, analytical skills and communication skills with the ability to work accurately and thrive in a high-pressure work environment Demonstrated past success in the following key competencies will be required of the most successful candidate but not limited to: • Provide support to attorneys and paralegals, including but not limited to document drafting and case file management • Contact clients, insurance companies, and medical providers as necessary • Maintain confidential information, including medical records, insurance details, and contact information • Excellent verbal and written communication with strict attention to detail and organization • Proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel • Manage client settlement accountings Compensation: $40,000
