The Entertainment District .. in Downtown Kalamazoo, is looking for an experienced event coordinator with banquets & weddings  to help us coordinate 300+ events per year .. and create a "disney" quality experience through detailed planning, communication and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with customers, guests, entertainers, vendors, suppliers and staff to finalize event plans + ensure preparedness for event day
• Assist vendors and entertainers with setup and teardown, and uphold company times, processes and policies
• Ensure event timeline is upheld and communicate changes immediately to customers, guest and staff
• Oversee and verify high quality food & beverage service per timelines
• Utilize checklists and update systems daily
• Report on events results nightly. revenue/labor/costs..etc
• Help maintain facilities and avoid damage to property, inventory, furnishings or equipment by following sop's.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ yrs experience coordinating banquets & weddings
• Ability to utilize technology based platforms
• Ability to work 12+ hours & carry 40 lbs
• Live within 15 miles of Kalamazoo, MI
• Positive work history & background

SCHEDULE:

• 40+ hours per week
• Tues/Wed/Thurs 10a-7p (office hours)
• Fri/Sat 12p-12am (event hours)
• Sun/Mon - off (unless events)
