A successful social media specialist engages with customers via various channels of social media, growing website traffic and revenue through strategic exploitation of the social media roadmap. A solid understanding of how social media channels work and how to optimize content is necessary in order to be a successful social media specialist. Your responsibility is to “soft-sell” the product by providing customer support for current and prospective customers.
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Create, refine, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful and unique connections and encourages community members to take action
Generate and perfect company pages within a variety of social media platforms to increase the visibility of company's social content
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Create syndication schedules and editorial calendars to optimize time management
Always be improving, by acquiring and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then taking action based on said information
Collaborate with key departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation
Identify key players and coordinate actions through means of collaboration
Proven experience in social media marketing or digital media.
