    About the Social Media Specialist position

    A successful social media specialist engages with customers via various channels of social media, growing website traffic and revenue through strategic exploitation of the social media roadmap. A solid understanding of how social media channels work and how to optimize content is necessary in order to be a successful social media specialist. Your responsibility is to “soft-sell” the product by providing customer support for current and prospective customers.

    Social Media Specialist responsibilities are:

    • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

    • Create, refine, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful and unique connections and encourages community members to take action

    • Generate and perfect company pages within a variety of social media platforms to increase the visibility of company's social content

    • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community

    • Create syndication schedules and editorial calendars to optimize time management

    • Always be improving, by acquiring and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then taking action based on said information

    • Collaborate with key departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation

    • Identify key players and coordinate actions through means of collaboration

    Social Media Specialist requirements are:

    • Proven experience in social media marketing or digital media.

    • Excellent skills in:

      • Consulting

      • Writing

      • Editing (photo/video/text)

      • Presentation and communication skills

      • Social analytics tools

    • Adequate knowledge of:

      • Web design

      • Web development

      • CRO & SEO

      • Online marketing

      • Understanding of major marketing channels

    • Positive, customer oriented attitude, with great organizational and multitasking skills.

    • English language fluency

    • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, or Public Relations
