Bayon Medical Group LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Referral Specialist to join our healthcare team in Lynn, MA. Responsibilities:
Process and manage patient referrals to specialists, ensuring timely and accurate coordination of care
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations for referrals and specialist visits
Communicate with patients, physicians, and external providers to facilitate smooth referral workflows
Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
Follow up on pending referrals and track outcomes to ensure continuity of patient care
Respond to patient inquiries regarding referral status in a professional and empathetic manner
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve referral-related issues promptly
Requirements:
1+ years of experience in a medical office, referral coordination, or healthcare administrative role
Familiarity with insurance verification, prior authorization, and managed care processes
Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Bilingual (English/Khmer) is a a plus in serving our diverse patient population but not mandatory
