    Summary of Position: Georgia Boys Commercial Services is looking for a qualified Refrigeration / Appliance Service Technician to help expand our fast-growing company. We are deeply rooted in the restaurant industry with two of our owners being the Founders of Georgia Boys BBQ. We focus on all commercial refrigeration, ice machines, commercial HVAC and "hot side" equipment.

    We will be providing a fully stocked company vehicle with all the tools necessary to do the job. We are looking for a technician who can handle all aspects of refrigeration including diagnoses and repair of coolers and freezers, installation of walk-in coolers/freezers, running line sets, and performing diagnoses and repair on cooking equipment such as ovens, flat-top grills, and fryers. We will also pay for certification classes with certain manufactures of restaurant equipment including ice machines. The ideal candidate will have these hard skills described above as well as soft skills such as friendly customer service, good communication, dependability, positive attitude, problem-solving, & teamwork.

    What You’ll Do:

    Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration units, walk-ins, ice machines, and HVAC systems

    Service and repair hot-side kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, flat tops, and more

    Perform preventative maintenance across a variety of equipment

    Providing cost estimated for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed

    Communicate clearly with clients and team members

    Provide on-site repair quotes and collect customer payment info

    Insure the efficient use of parts and materials and keeping company vehicle, equipment, & tools properly maintained and serviced

    Keep your company vehicle clean, organized, and fully stocked

    Collaborate with teammates to complete projects efficiently

    What You Bring:

    Familiarity with commercial kitchen hot-side equipment (preferred)

    Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

    Clean driving record and valid Colorado Driver’s License

    Dependability, professionalism, and customer-first attitude

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Willingness to work in all weather conditions and tight spaces

    Qualifications:

    A high school diploma or equivalency.

    Be 21 years of age

    Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License with a clean MVR

    Proficient electrical troubleshooting skills

    Must be able to provide friendly customer service to all clients.

    Physical Demands:

    Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis, and up to a 100lbs on an occasional basis without assistance.

    Job requires frequent standing, kneeling, bending, balancing, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, climbing ladders, and other physically demanding actions.

    Experience:

    HVAC/R: 1 year minimum required

    Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

    Refrigeration: 1 year minimum required

    Restaurant Equipment Hot Side: Experience Preferred

    License/Certification:

    EPA Universal

    Pay: $28–$40 per hour (based on experience) + Bonus potential

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts + overtime, and on-call available (once a month required)
