Refrigeration Technician - Commercial Refrigeration - Base Salary to 70k/year - Philadelphia, PA

• Our client is a Philadelphia-based service company that specializes in commercial refrigeration and ice machines. They’ve been operating in the Delaware Valley for over 85 years, and pride themselves on their professionalism and high levels of customer service. They perform all their work to manufacturers specifications, with OEM parts.
  
• In this role, the Refrigeration Tech will be responsible for installation and service of commercial refrigeration and ice machine systems throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. Once trained, they will be dispatched with the company truck from their home, traveling to service calls for the clients for that day. The Refrigeration Technician should be well versed in refrigeration systems specifically (not heating). Ice machine experience is a plus, EPA certification required.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair refrigeration and ice machine systems throughout the Delaware Valley
  
• Respond to service calls and dispatch instructions from the office
  
• Perform emergency repairs on refrigeration systems when on call (about every 5th week)
  
• Drive throughout the territory in company vehicle, from your home to client locations
  
• Obtain necessary parts and equipment from the office (in Fishtown)
  
• Submit daily reports

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in refrigeration (not HVAC) required
  
• Strong understanding of the theory and mechanics of commercial refrigeration
  
• Ice machine experience preferred
  
• EPA Certification required
  
• Ability to work on call one out of every 5 weeks
  
• Ability to work 40 hours a week, with infrequent overtime
  
• Must be based within 25 miles of Center City

• Base salary in the 60k - 70k/year range, with 90-day review potential
