About the Role:

Coastal Sanitation of NC LLC is looking for a dependable and hardworking Refuse Collector to join our team in Hubert, NC! This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and play a vital role in keeping our community clean and healthy. Responsibilities:

Collect and dispose of residential and/or commercial refuse along assigned routes

Operate and ride on refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently

Lift, empty, and return waste bins and containers to their proper locations

Follow all safety protocols and procedures during collection operations

Maintain cleanliness and order around collection areas to minimize spillage

Communicate with drivers and team members to ensure route completion

Report any vehicle issues, hazardous materials, or route concerns to supervisors

Requirements:

Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning hours and varying schedules

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude

Prior waste collection or labor experience is a plus but not required

Valid driver's license preferred

Must be able to pass a background check and/or pre-employment screening

Must be 18 years old or older
