DS Technologies Inc is looking for RegOps L3 Support Engineer role for one of our premier clients.
Job Title: RegOps L3 Support Engineer
Location: New York City, NY / New Jersey, NY (Hybrid)
Position Type: Contract Only W2
Role Overview:
The RegOps L3 Support Engineer will work closely with Trading, Compliance, Risk, and IT teams to operate, support, and enhance existing trading systems. The role focuses on production support, automation, deployments, and incident management using modern infrastructure and software practices.
Required Technical Skills:
Strong experience with Linux (command line, shell scripting, file manipulation).
Solid knowledge of relational databases & SQL (tables, views, indexes, query optimization).
Hands-on experience with job scheduling/automation tools:
Cron, Tidal, Autosys, Control-M (any).
Experience with release packaging & deployment tools:
Rundeck, Ansible (preferred).
Understanding of SDLC & Agile methodologies.
Working knowledge of Python scripting.
Experience integrating with monitoring tools (OpsRamp or similar).
Key Responsibilities:
Perform pre-release and post-deployment validations.
Integrate deployment workflows using Rundeck / DevAzure.
Develop and manage application control scripts (start/stop/restart).
Integrate applications with monitoring solutions.
Provision and configure new servers and environments.
Configure authentication, service accounts, and access controls.
Troubleshoot production trading and market data issues.
Follow up on production incidents and problem tickets.
Recommend and implement infrastructure and operational improvements.
Create and maintain operational runbooks and procedures.
Soft Skills & Intangibles:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Methodical approach to incident and problem management.
Takes ownership and drives issues to closure.
Willingness to learn regulatory and trading workflows.
Ability to multitask and support L3 operations during NY business hours.
Open to cross-training with other L3 resources.
Preference for onsite presence (MTP or 1271).
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
