As we continue to grow our extended-stay and select-service portfolio, we are seeking a dynamic Regional Director of Sales (RDS) to support our hotels, strengthen owner relationships, and drive commercial excellence across multiple markets. Position Overview The Regional Director of Sales is a highly visible, relationship-driven sales leader responsible for supporting Area and property-level sales teams, developing market-specific strategies, and ensuring consistent delivery of ARK’s commercial standards. This role partners closely with hotel ownership groups, General Managers, Regional Operations Leaders, and brand partners to accelerate revenue, expand market share, and elevate the sales culture throughout the region. The ideal candidate is located in the Midwest, with deep experience in select-service and extended-stay hotels, a proven ability to foster strong owner relationships, and a passion for coaching and empowering hotel teams. Responsibilities: Owner & Partner Relations • Serve as a primary commercial liaison between ARK and ownership groups, providing transparent communication, proactive insights, and strategic recommendations. • Participate in ownership calls, performance reviews, and budget discussions with a focus on revenue growth, cost discipline, and long-term asset value. • Present clear action plans to address performance challenges, market shifts, and competitive opportunities. Hotel Sales Team Support • Coach, mentor, and develop Area Directors of Sales, Market Directors of Sales, and property-level teams to ensure consistency in prospecting, account management, and extended-stay sales execution. • Conduct regular hotel visits, sales blitzes, and market assessments to support funnel growth and high-impact field activity. • Ensure best-in-class sales processes, including company-name capture, LNR negotiations, project-based selling, and extended-stay revenue strategies. Commercial Strategy & Performance • Leverage market intelligence tools (Kalibri, STR, CoStar, HotelIQ, etc.) to guide revenue opportunities and forecast performance. • Collaborate with Revenue Management to align pricing, channel optimization, OTA strategy, and segment mix objectives. • Lead portfolio-level sales initiatives, including regional blitzes, marketing activations, and brand-required programs. Qualifications: • Minimum 5–7 years of hotel sales leadership experience; regional or multi-property oversight strongly preferred. • Proven track record in select-service or extended-stay hotels (Choice, IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Sonesta, Wyndham, or similar). • Strong ownership communication experience; able to present insights, data, and action plans with clarity and confidence. • Ability to travel throughout the Midwest region to support assigned properties. • Proficiency with sales and revenue tools: STR, Kalibri, HotelIQ, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, brand systems, etc. • Highly collaborative, energetic, and aligned with ARK’s people-first culture. Compensation: $120,000 - $125,000
