As we expand, we’re seeking a hands-on, field-driven leader to oversee operations and client satisfaction across the tri-state region.
Position Overview
We’re hiring a Field Director to lead day-to-day field operations for our janitorial division. This is a high-travel, people-facing role responsible for managing client accounts, leading field teams, and driving operational execution across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, exceptional communication, and a deep understanding of janitorial services. This role reports directly to the COO.
The Ideal Candidate
- Brings 3–5+ years of team leadership and operations management
- Has experience managing large-scale janitorial or service-based field teams
- Thrives in a client-facing, high-accountability environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Familiar with union labor dynamics (32BJ a plus)
- Conversational in Yiddish or Spanish preferred
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Manage and coach field managers and supervisors
- Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and performance for field staff
- Lead weekly field operations meetings
- Drive team accountability and continuous improvement
Account Management
- Serve as primary point of contact for key clients
- Manage new job walk-throughs, setups, and job scope planning
- Oversee job budgets and timelines
- Build and grow relationships to drive retention and upsell services
Operations Oversight
- Monitor field team performance and resolve issues proactively
- Review weekly payroll for compliance and accuracy
- Generate and support marketing and growth campaigns
- Communicate field updates to senior leadership
Qualifications
- 3–5 years in operations, field management, or service industry leadership
- Proven ability to lead and grow high-performing teams
- Strong communication and customer service mindset
- Tech-savvy: time tracking, CRM/PO systems, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of janitorial procedures and job costing best practices

- 95% travel across the Tri-State region
