Carbon Performance is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Group Fitness Manager to oversee group fitness programming across our clubs.
The Position As a key member of Carbon Performance’s leadership team, the Regional Group Fitness Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the group fitness experience meet our brand standards of excellence. With fitness trends shifting toward curated, boutique-style experiences, this leader must be both innovative and adaptable—bringing energy, vision, and accountability to elevate our programming. This programming will be overseeing the following classes Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, Element 6 (Strength Bootcamp Classes), Hyrox, Glute, Cycle and much more.
The Regional Group Fitness Manager will act as the senior leader for group fitness across Carbon Performance locations, driving consistency, quality, and engagement while leading instructors and staff to deliver exceptional member experiences. The current location includes Franklin, TN, Nations/Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC and many more to come as we continue to expand the Carbon Performance brand.
Responsibilities: ● Oversee group fitness programming and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across clubs. ● Recruit, train, and onboard group fitness instructors and Head Instructors. ● Partner with marketing and operations to design, launch, and promote existing and new class formats and brand-aligned programs. ● Monitor industry trends and competitive studios to ensure Carbon Performance stays at the forefront of innovation. ● Conduct regular audits and evaluations of instructors to maintain programming standards and accountability. ● Collaborate with club leadership on budgets, financial performance, and participation goals for KPIs in the group fitness area. ● Organize and support fitness-related special events, workshops, and challenges.
● Scheduling of the Group Fitness Instructors and working with the Head Instructors. ● Teach at least 1 group class a month and fill-in where needed if someone calls out. ● Payroll Approval of the Group Fitness Teams. ● Partner with membership teams to support new member onboarding, retention, and engagement strategies. ● Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure class attendance, class utilization, member satisfaction (NPS), and program success. ● Perform weekly one on ones with the Head Instructors to ensure all goals are met. ● Work closely with local General Managers and Assistant General Managers to ensure consistency and quality at all locations. ● Grow our Elite Memberships that include all amenities at the gym and our Hyrox Classes, Element 6 and Glute Classes.
Requirements ● Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within fitness, preferably managing multiple locations or programs. ● Active nationally recognized certifications in fitness or group fitness (ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.). ● Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams. ● Experience in budget management and performance tracking. ● Proficiency with Google Suite or other digital management platforms.
