Regional MDS Director (RN Required)

Position Overview

Our partner is seeking a Regional MDS Director to provide clinical reimbursement leadership across multiple Skilled Nursing facilities throughout Maryland. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring MDS accuracy, optimizing PDPM performance, strengthening regulatory compliance, and developing facility-level MDS teams.

This leader must be comfortable owning results across several buildings — not just advising, but driving accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide regional oversight of MDS processes across multiple SNFs

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments in compliance with CMS and Maryland state regulations

• Drive PDPM optimization and reimbursement integrity

• Monitor quality indicators and survey outcomes tied to MDS

• Audit documentation to ensure clinical and financial alignment

• Train, mentor, and develop facility MDS Coordinators

• Partner with Regional Clinical and Operations leadership to improve census mix and case management

Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license required

• 3+ years of MDS leadership experience in Skilled Nursing

• Demonstrated multi-facility management experience required

• Strong working knowledge of PDPM, CMS regulations, and survey processes

• Proven ability to improve reimbursement outcomes and compliance metrics

• Comfortable traveling within Maryland
