Job Title: Regional Nurse Consultant – Skilled Nursing
Full-Time | Northern California
ALIGN Executive Search is partnering with a respected senior care provider to identify an experienced Regional Nurse Consultant to support a portfolio of Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout Northern California. This leadership role offers flexibility based on where the candidate resides and covers multiple facilities.
This position is ideal for a clinically strong nursing leader who can support local DONs, promote regulatory compliance, drive clinical quality, and implement systems across multiple locations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide ongoing clinical oversight and consultation to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities
Support facility nursing teams with compliance, training, and leadership development
Conduct audits, prepare for surveys, and implement corrective actions as needed
Monitor clinical systems, documentation practices, and quality assurance initiatives
Assist with hiring and mentoring Directors of Nursing
Act as a resource for infection control, incident review, and risk mitigation
Collaborate closely with Regional Operations and Executive Directors
Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations and clinical best practices
Travel regularly throughout the assigned region of Northern California
What You’ll Need to Qualify:
Current RN license in California
Multi-site nursing leadership experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities
Deep understanding of long-term care regulations and clinical systems
Proven ability to support and develop nursing teams
Strong communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region
Familiarity with survey readiness and QAPI processes
Stable work history and a collaborative leadership style
