    Job Summary

    The Regional Pathology Manager leads regional pathology operations, overseeing disease diagnostics, resistance screening, seed health testing, and disinfection methods. This role manages pathology research projects, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and fosters collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to meet organizational goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Pathology Oversight: Manage regional disease diagnostics, resistance breeding, and disease management strategies. Develop phytosanitary processes and respond to disease outbreaks.

    Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a pathology team. Manage budgets, resources, and performance evaluations.

    Research and Innovation: Design and execute projects to combat plant diseases. Collaborate on breeding programs and integrate advanced technologies.

    Collaboration and Communication: Align pathology efforts with organizational goals. Represent the company at industry events and share findings with stakeholders.

    Data and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance. Support laboratory accreditation and adjust protocols to meet standards.

    Qualifications

    Experience: 10+ years in pathology program management and 5+ years in team leadership. Proficiency in applied plant pathology, diagnostics, and pathogen detection methods.

    Education: MS in plant pathology, plant science, or related field (PhD preferred).

    Skills: Leadership, communication, analytical abilities, and stress management. Experience with budgeting, team motivation, and regulatory practices.

    Licenses: Valid California Driver’s License.

    Work Environment

    Exposure to lab chemicals, pesticides, and varying weather conditions.

    Ability to travel, including international trips.

    Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
