Our client is seeking a PNW Regional Safety Manager to support and drive safety initiatives across multiple job sites in the Pacific Northwest and surrounding regions. Position Summary
The PNW Regional Safety Manager will champion a “safety-first” culture across all operations, supporting the implementation and oversight of corporate, divisional, and project-level safety programs. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements while promoting a safe and healthy work environment across multiple active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with district leadership, project managers, and field teams to identify and mitigate hazards
- Maintain a strong field presence (approx. 65% field / 35% office) to support safety initiatives and compliance
- Conduct regular job site inspections (minimum of 4 per week) and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Lead and deliver safety training programs (PPE, fall protection, heavy equipment, LOTO, OSHA 30, trenching/excavation, confined space)
- Support incident response and reporting, including injuries, vehicle incidents, property damage, and near misses
- Conduct incident investigations in collaboration with field leadership and corporate safety
- Develop and maintain site-specific and client-specific safety programs
- Manage compliance with third-party platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta)
- Assist Superintendents and Foremen with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and hazard recognition
- Drive participation in field-led safety inspections and continuous improvement efforts
- Participate in new hire orientations and ongoing safety training programs
- Maintain accurate records of certifications, training, and compliance activities
- Support driver safety programs and coordinate with internal teams
- Accompany regulatory inspectors (OSHA/WISHA/CISHA) during site visits as needed
- Promote industry best practices to reduce risk and ensure compliance
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- 3+ years of construction safety experience or equivalent
- Background in construction trades preferred (pipefitting experience is a plus)
Certifications (Preferred):
- OSHA 500 (Train-the-Trainer)
- OSHA 510 (Construction Standards)
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)
- CPR/First Aid Certification
Knowledge Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, including WISHA and CISHA
- Familiarity with ASTM, ANSI, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards
- Experience with fire protection systems (alarm, suppression, sprinkler) is a plus
