    Job Description

    The Regional Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager will lead and improve EHS programs and regulatory compliance for our data center operations. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining T5’s EHS management system, ensuring compliance with all relevant local and national EHS regulations, and promoting a robust EHS culture. This position demands a proactive leader with expertise in EHS best practices within the data center or critical infrastructure sector, capable of fostering ongoing improvement and reducing risks.

    EHS Program Development & Implementation:

    • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures tailored to data center operations.

    • Ensure EHS programs are aligned with corporate EHS strategies and objectives.

    • Conduct regular EHS site inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards and program improvements.

    Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:

    • Stay current with relevant local and national EHS regulations and standards applicable to data center facilities.

    • Ensure all necessary EHS permits, licenses, and registrations are obtained and maintained.

    Risk Management & Incident Investigation:

    • Lead and participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

    • Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans.

    • Conduct EHS risk assessments for new projects, equipment, and processes.

    Training & Culture:

    • Develop and deliver engaging EHS training programs for all levels of employees, contractors, and visitors.

    • Promote a proactive EHS culture through awareness campaigns, communication, and employee engagement initiatives.

    • Mentor and coach site-level EHS points of contact and operational teams.

    Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Establish and monitor key EHS performance indicators.

    • Prepare regular EHS performance reports.

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on EHS performance data and industry best practices.

    Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with data center operations, development, and construction teams to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of the business.

    • Work with external stakeholders, not limited to clients, consultants, and vendors.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Travel required, up to 50%
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a relevant work experience.

    • 5+ years of EH&S compliance experience

    • Certifications such as CSP, CIH, CPEA, or CHMM, are preferred

    • Core Competencies:

    • Comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards.

    • In-depth knowledge of EHS best practices, including electrical safety, mechanical systems, fire protection, and hazardous materials management.

    • Proven experience with EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

    • Proficiency in utilizing EHS software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Key Skills & Abilities:

    • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change initiatives across various sites and diverse teams.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The following physical demands are essential for this job. Employees must be able to perform these tasks to fulfill the job's requirements, and reasonable accommodations will be considered for individuals with disabilities. These physical tasks may need to be performed immediately, without prior notice, by the EH&S Manager and Trainer alone, to address urgent facility operational needs and standards at sites where other personnel are often unavailable.

    • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance

    • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl using both arms and legs

    • Ability to reach, grasp, push, pull, handle, feel, and type with both hands and arms

    • Ability to smell, talk and hear.

    • Ability to see at close and distance ranges and the ability to see and correctly distinguish color

    • Ability to lift equipment in small spaces without mechanical assistance, weighing up to 50 pounds.

    • Ability to work inside and outside.

    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
