Position Summary
The Regional Sales Lead is responsible for securing profitable work within assigned geographic region by prospecting, building relationships, presenting proposals, and converting opportunities into awarded projects. This role expands the company’s presence and brand at the local market level.
This position fuels pipeline growth keeps the business competitive across regions and ensures strong market penetration with the right customers at the right margins. Growing and protecting customer relationships directly contributes to the company’s reputation, revenue sustainability, and long-term strategic expansion.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and win new business opportunities across the assigned region.
- Build trusted relationships with strategic customer base including but not limited to GCs, owners, developers, integrators, industrial clients and municipalities.
- Represent the company in client meetings, job walks, networking events, and industry forums.
- Qualify opportunities to ensure bid targets align with the company strategy and margin goals.
- Partner with Estimating and Preconstruction to deliver accurate, clear, and competitive proposals.
- Maintain CRM discipline – updates, forecasts, status notes, and next steps of accountability.
- Communicate sales risks and opportunities proactively to leadership.
- Support contract negotiation and ensure scope clarity to eliminate downstream surprises.
- Serve as a professional and recognizable face of the company within the region.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- An Associates degree is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in outside sales or business development experience in electrical contracting, construction, or related industry.
- Valid Drivers License and willingness to travel.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- CRM knowledge and high organization in tracking pipeline activity.
- Knowledge of construction scope, bids, proposals, and project lifecycles.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
