    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Regional Vice President of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of skilled nursing facilities in North Carolina. This executive-level leader will be responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and employee engagement across multiple communities.

    The ideal candidate is a proven healthcare operations leader with extensive skilled nursing experience and a strong understanding of the clinical, regulatory, financial, and business demands of long-term care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple skilled nursing facilities.
    • Partner with facility Executive Directors/Administrators and clinical leadership to achieve operational and organizational goals.
    • Drive census growth, occupancy, revenue, and overall financial performance.
    • Monitor key performance indicators and develop action plans to improve results.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including CMS and North Carolina requirements.
    • Promote high standards of quality care, resident satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
    • Support facility leaders with recruitment, retention, employee engagement, and leadership development.
    • Conduct regular facility visits, operational reviews, and performance assessments.
    • Identify operational challenges and implement effective, measurable solutions.
    • Collaborate with clinical, human resources, finance, sales/marketing, and other corporate departments.
    • Assist with budgets, capital planning, labor management, and expense control.
    • Lead and support turnaround initiatives when necessary.
    • Build strong relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, and community partners.
    • Maintain awareness of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting skilled nursing operations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • 5+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, with significant skilled nursing experience.
    • Multi-facility regional leadership experience strongly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of skilled nursing operations, CMS regulations, state survey processes, and reimbursement.
    • Demonstrated success improving census, financial performance, quality metrics, and operational outcomes.
    • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop facility-level leaders.
    • Strong financial, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to travel regularly throughout North Carolina.
