Registered Behavior Technician Job Summary
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) establish & maintain a therapeutic relationship through pairing. RBTs directly implement behavior-analytic services. They accurately collect behavior data including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval-based recording. RBTs follow the treatment plan goals and interventions and seek out appropriate consultation by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
RBT Duties and Responsibilities
Document all services provided in a timely and accurate manner
Providing direct client care in one-on-one and group settings
Collecting and recording data based on client behavior
Communicating with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress
Accurately collect behavior data including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval-based recording
Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation
RBT's work with various clients, our client base is throughout the state of Delaware.
RBT Requirements and Qualifications
Must hold or be able to obtain and hold current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
High School Diploma or GED required
Pass State and Federal Criminal Background Check & Child Abuse Registry Check
Reliable transportation required
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and other professionals
Flexibility and adaptability
The ability to remain professional in high-stress situations
