    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant/ Dental Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a positive and patient attitude, and a passion for pediatric dentistry. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dental care to our patients in various clinic locations under the supervision of Dr. Priestley.

    • This is a full-time position
    • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist dentists during pediatric examinations and dental procedures, ensuring all required instruments and materials are readily available.
    • Perform coronal polishing on pediatric patients in accordance with dental protocols and regulations.
    • Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
    • Educate children and their parents about proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
    • Record patient medical and dental histories accurately, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Help manage patient flow and contribute to a positive, friendly atmosphere within the dental practice.
    • Schedule appointments and follow up with patients or parents regarding treatment plans or upcoming visits.
    • Assist in the management of dental records and other administrative tasks as needed.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in dental assisting from an accredited program is preferred.
    • Valid coronal polishing certification is required.
    • Previous experience in a pediatric dental setting is preferred.
    • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and office practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on creating a comforting environment for children.
    • Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism.
    • Proficient in using dental software and technology.
    • Valid RDA license and certification in CPR and other relevant dental certifications as required by law.
