    Job Summary

    Job Description The candidate must have experience with referrals, vitals, multitask, draw blood, immunizations. Prior authorization experience with creating care plans with families and patients. Able to work in a busy Family and Internal Medicine clinic. Be advocate for patients, follow up on referrals, and communicate with patients and Knowledge of medications and medical terminology very necessary.

    Skills/Qualifications: Patient care, Verbal Communication, Process Improvement. Multitasking, Problem Solving, computer and internet a must and knowledge of EPIC EHR/EMR helpful if you qualify. Bilingual English and Spanish helpful.

    Responsibilities

    Provide comprehensive medical administrative support, including managing patient intake and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Epic systems.

    Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs and documenting medical histories.

    Assist in the development and implementation of care plans while ensuring effective patient interaction and communication.

    Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve processes and enhance patient service, utilizing knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.

    Support bilingual communication with patients in both English and Spanish to ensure clarity and understanding.

    Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment

    Clean instruments and equipment after use

    Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs

    Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures

    Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties

    Qualifications

    BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired

    Excellent customer service skills

    Strong attention to detail
