Job Summary
We are seeking a highly compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our growing team and to work a flexible schedule! In this role, you will primarily create and manage a plan of care (assessment) for individual patients. You are a Registered Nurse (RN) who operates with great attention to detail and a big heart. You take pride in creating personalized care plans for patients and can observe and communicate effectively in your patients' best interests. To succeed, you should have demonstrated knowledge and skill in current nursing practices as well as a strong penchant for solving problems. This position may also qualify as a PRN position. This position can also be a second job or an add-on to your main job. This position may also be great for a Retired nurse looking for a few hours to stay current. 2-3 Positions available.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with other colleagues to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
Develop and implement the service plan as applicable, and regularly reassess clients' needs.
Participate in in-service programs and train and teach other personnel.
Develop and implement the service plan for each patient under the direction of their physician or family.
Observe and report symptoms, reactions to treatments and drugs, and changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition.
Initiate preventive procedures as appropriate for the patient's care and safety, and implement environmental changes to ensure patient safety and security.
Maintain clinical and progress notes for each patient receiving care and provide progress reports to the administrator and/or family.
Counsel the patient and their family, and meet nursing and related needs.
Provide supervision of caregiver services and prepare written instructions for care provided by aides/caregivers.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and agency matters.
Submit required documentation in a timely manner.
Report observed or suspected abuse pursuant to mandated requirements.
Assist the administrator in decision-making and policy formation as it pertains to the home care services.
Participate in surveys studies and special projects as assigned.
Maintain accurate time records.
In addition to schedule hours participating in weekend/holiday call schedule as needed.
Observe agencies, attendance requirements, and dress code.
Conserve agency resources and adequately, maintaining agency property supplies, and equipment.
Adhere to all agency policies, including, but not limited to, infection control, safety, education, reporting, and practice implementation.
Document any changes in patient conditions and report on changes
Qualifications
Graduate of an Accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Nevada
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance/Travel as required-Have a clean DMV driving record.
First aid/CPR certification required
1-3 years of Nursing experience(Home Care experience, preferred)
In-home care: New Client assessment experience
Excellent communication skills, flexible, and able to interact positively with the rest of the staff.
Demonstrates knowledge regarding exposure to body fluids and chemicals, as well as to some hazardous equipment.
Self-directed, able to work without the presence of an immediate supervisor.
Strong sense of initiative and urgency in addressing unexpected patient crises.
Commitment to regulatory compliance and to submitting all documentation in a timely fashion.
