Job Description

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum one year of direct clinical experience in Pre-op/PACU settings within an ambulatory surgery center or hospital facility
• Demonstrated mastery of the nursing process, including comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Proven competency in formulating evidence-based nursing care plans
• Established proficiency in perioperative nursing principles and clinical practices
• Advanced technical competency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and comprehensive medical documentation
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare personnel
• Superior critical thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities
• Established track record of effective collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current, active licensure from the Michigan State Board of Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
